Timeline COVID-19
- 21Mainland China (excluding Hong Kong and Macau) travel notice elevated to Level 3 (Warning).
- 22Travelers entering into Taiwan through the “Mini Three Links” without showing symptoms were requested to undergo a 14-day home quarantine starting from Feb 3rd. Asymptomatic travelers from China, Hong Kong, and Macau were requested to undergo self-health monitoring. Individuals with upper respiratory symptoms needed to undergo a 14-day self-health monitoring regimen, despite testing negative for COVID-19.
- 23Guangdong Province, China listed as a Level 2 Epidemic Area. Chinese nationals residing in Guangdong Province, China were banned from enter into Taiwan.
- 24Wenzhou City in Zhejiang Province, China, listed as a Level 2 Epidemic Area. Travelers with travel histories in Wenzhou were required to undergo home quarantine. Chinese nationals residing in Wenzhou banned from entering into Taiwan.
- 25First chartered flight returned to Taiwan from Wuhan, China carried 247 Taiwan citizens. They underwent group quarantine for 14 days and 1 passenger was tested positive and was hospitalized.
- 26Zhejiang Province, China listed as a Level 2 Epidemic Area. Chinese nationals residing in Zhejiang Province banned from entry into Taiwan. Taiwan citizens who had prior travel history in Zhejiang before returning to Taiwan were requested to undergo home quarantine.
- 27China, Hong Kong, and Macau listed as a Level 2 Epidemic Area. All entry of Chinese nationals to Taiwan were suspended.
- 28Taiwan citizens with recent travel history to China, Hong Kong, and Macau were requested to undergo a 14-day home quarantine.
- 29Guangdong Province, China listed as a Level 1 Epidemic Area.
- 30Visa and entry control measures implemented for foreign individuals who have traveled to and/or lived in China within the past 14 days.
- 31Cruise ship SuperStar Aquarius docked Taiwan. Onboard quarantine measures implemented and 128 passengers tested negative for COVID-19 were allowed to return home for self-health monitoring for 14 days.
- 32All inbound travelers transited from China, Hong Kong, and Macau were requested to undergo home quarantine for 14 days.
