Zhejiang Province, China listed as a Level 2 Epidemic Area. Chinese nationals residing in Zhejiang Province banned from entry into Taiwan. Taiwan citizens who had prior travel history in Zhejiang before returning to Taiwan were requested to undergo home quarantine.
1.As accumulative confirmed cases in Zhejiang Province, China continued to increase, already reaching 829 cases by February 3, placing them the second largest number of affected province next to the Hubei Province. It was concluded that community spread had occurred in China as major cities in Zhejiang Province: Wenzhou,
Hangzhou and others had already start to implement land transport control, as well as restriction of residents and other interventions. Considering that Taiwan has a close interaction with Zhejiang Province, starting from February 5, Taiwan listed Zhejiang Province as level 2 epidemic areas. Those who entered Taiwan with a Zhejiang Province travel history would need to be listed as persons subjected to home quarantine.
2. Any public entering Taiwan with a Zhejiang Province travel history would need to be listed as the home quarantine candidates. Those with place of residence as Zhejiang Province would be prohibited from entering Taiwan. If fever or acute respiratory tract symptoms are discovered, the person shall be transferred immediately to the designated medical care institutions for screening and return home for home quarantine. If the tes is positive, then mandatory quarantine shall be carried out according to the COVID-19 management protocol.
