Cruise ship SuperStar Aquarius docked Taiwan. Onboard quarantine measures implemented and 128 passengers tested negative for COVID-19 were allowed to return home for self-health monitoring for 14 days.
1. The CECC announced on the evening of February 8 that after the Aquarius Cruise Liner docked at Keelung Port at noon, Taiwan CDC arranged for quarantine personnel to board the ship for quarantine and carry out onboard inspection for passengers onboard. All personnel onboard were shunted and inspected with a total of 128 people inspected and the inspection results revealed the highlights as enumerated below:
(1) Number of people with symptoms having traveled to Guangdong and Hupei: 0.
(2) Number of people with symptoms having not traveled to Guangdong and Hupei: All 60 testees proved negative in the results.
(3) Number of people without symptoms having traveled to China, Hong Kong and Macau: All 68 testees proved negative in the results.
2. Where the results indicated all testees negative in results, all the cruise ship passengers were permitted for disembarkation with 14-day self-health management. During self-health management period, those passengers should not go out of home as far as possible and should wear face masks when they should go out, as a governing thorough implementation of respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette.
