Diamond Princess Cruise Ship listed as location affected by COVID-19. Taiwanese nationals onboard the ship were arranged to return to Taiwan on a charter flight.
Since the number of confirmed cases aboard the Diamond Princess at Yokohama, Japan was increasing daily, and 4 Taiwanese passengers were diagnosed on board. Taiwan’s CECC declared the cruise ship a COVID-19 affected site to safeguard the health and safe repatriation of Taiwanese citizens. All Taiwanese passengers and staff on the ship must return to Taiwan by charter flights, and observed relevant isolation and quarantine measures.
