- 1The NT$1,000 subsidy, for the Triple Stimulus Voucher receivable by disadvantaged citizens, has started to be deposited into respective accounts since July 2.
- 2Marked the 100th day since the establishment of the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC)
- 3In early dawn, Taiwan CDC learned from online sources that there had been at least 7 cases of atypical pneumonia in Wuhan, China. At 8am, Taiwan CDC contacted the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention to confirm about the latest epidemic situation. Taiwan CDC also sent an email to the IHR focal point under the WHO, informing WHO of its understanding of the disease and requesting further information.
- 4CECC held a press conference and announced its latest understanding on developments of the epidemic, while urging citizens to refrain from sharing unsubstantiated information and hearsay.
- 5Formalized the definition of coronavirus cases and reporting & handling procedures. All medical institutions are requested to strengthen infection control measures and enhance diagnosis capabilities on new and emerging infectious diseases.
