1. It was said that there were several pneumonia cases in Wuhan City, China. On that day, Taiwan Centers for Disease Control had contacted the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and IHR contact person of the World Health Organization (WHO) to inquire into the epidemic situation.
2. The Chinese agency replied to us in the evening that they had dispatched experts to Wuhan to conduct the pathogen detection and investigate into the infection causes. It also provided us with the announcements by Wuhan Municipal Health Commission on December 31st, which indicated that there were 27 pneumonia cases, among which 7 cases were seriously ill and isolated and treated while 2 cases were getting better.
3. The main clinic condition was fever and few patients had shortness of breath and bilateral pulmonary infiltrates. Most cases came from the merchants of the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in Jianghan District, Wuhan. No obvious human-to-human infections and medical staff infections were found yet.
