According to the case definition of the "Severe Pneumonia with Novel Pathogens," a case is reported as shown below:
1. During the clinic diagnosis and treatment, if the doctor finds out that a case complies with the reporting definition (it must comply with one of the clinic conditions and one of the epidemiological conditions simultaneously), he/she must report it to the healthcare authority within 24 hours, and conduct collection as well as inspection in accordance with the case handling process for hospitalization, isolation, and treatment of the patient.
2. For the patient with acute respiratory infection who came back from a region other than Wuhan in China, he/she should also be reported if the case complies with the reporting definition of Novel Influenza A Virus Infections.
