The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that, in response to the spread of the Omicron subvariants, BA.4 and BA.5 and to protect the health of indigenous people through strengthened screening for symptomatic persons to facilitate early medical treatment, starting from September 26, 2022, a pack of five at-home rapid tests will be provided to every indigenous person aged 55-64 years (born in 1958-1967) nationwide at no cost. Rapid test kits allocated to eligible indigenous people have been distributed to local governments. Eligible indigenous people can claim them (or have a representative collect them on their behalf) at a designated distribution point of the local government where their place of residence is registered by showing their household certificate or household registration transcript.
