To strengthen screening and protect health of elderly people, five at-home rapid antigen tests to be provided to people aged 65 and older free of charge starting September 1
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that, to strengthen screening of the elderly with symptoms and improve access to medications in response to the increasing number of cases, starting from September 1, 2022, each individual can claim a pack of five at-home rapid tests free of charge at a place that sells rapid test kits under the name-based rapid test distribution system by presenting a National Health Insurance card of an elderly person 65 years of age or older (born in 1957 or earlier). This measure aims to protect the health of the elderly by providing them with sufficient at-home rapid antigen tests.
