As COVID-19 pandemic subsides in northern Taiwan, percentages of dedicated hospital beds in Taipei and other northern cities and counties adjusted

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced that, effective immediately, the percentage range of the dedicated beds set up for COVID-19 patients in emergency hospitals that have over 500 acute care beds and are supervised by the Taipei Regional Center (Taipei City, New Taipei City, Keelung City, Yilan County, Lianjiang County, and Kinmen County) and the Northern Regional Center (Taoyuan City, Hsinchu City, Hsinchu County, and Miaoli County) has been adjusted from 20%-30% to 10%-15%; for emergency hospitals with 200-499 acute care beds, that range has been changed from 10%-20% to 5%-10%. Furthermore, the number of ICU beds in medical centers in cities/counties under the jurisdiction of the Taipei Regional Center and Northern Region Center has been adjusted to 15-20 beds. However, these percentage ranges of dedicated beds will be adjusted according to instructions of the commander of the Communicable Disease Control Medical Network.
