Taiwan CDC provides details about "SARS-CoV-2 seroepidemiologic survey and long-term trend analysis project"
On June 16, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that, in order to understand the trends in changes to SARS-CoV-2 seropositivity by age and geographic region, the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (Taiwan CDC) will conduct a "SARS-CoV-2 seroepidemiologic survey and long-term trend analysis project." This project will be carried out by Taiwan CDC in collaboration with the Taiwan Blood Services Foundation (Taiwan Blood Foundation) and plans to perform tests on 36,000 selected archive samples of blood donated to blood donation centers nationwide between January and June this year. The chance of a donor who had donated blood during the specified period being included in the project is 3-4%.
