CECC announces precautions for people aged 65 and older who test positive with at-home rapid tests when they seek medical help

font:

The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that people aged 65 and older who are not under home isolation, self-initiated epidemic prevention, or home quarantine should have their positive rapid test results assessed and confirmed by medical professionals and should observe the precautions listed below when they seek medical assistance.

1. Those aged 65 and older who are not under home isolation, self-initiated epidemic prevention, or home quarantine are advised to have their test results confirmed by medical professionals through telemedicine/video consultations if they positive with at-home rapid antigen tests.

2. If a consensus can't be reached or doubts arise with respect to the positive test result between the individual and the evaluating doctor, the individual should put the test cartridge/strip in a zipper bag, seal it tightly, and get a PCR test at a nearby outpatient epidemic prevention clinic, community testing station, or community testing clinic.
