CECC revises case definition for COVID-19; people in home isolation/quarantine considered as confirmed cases if they test positive with rapid tests and medical personnel confirm their test results
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that it has revised the definition of a confirmed case to include the condition that an individual undergoing home isolation, self-initiated epidemic prevention, or home quarantine who tests positive for COVID-19 with an at-home rapid antigen test kit and whose test result is confirmed by medical personnel is counted as a confirmed case, which will be effective from May 12.
