On April 25, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced the following measures:

I. "Key contact tracing" will be implemented beginning today:

A. A close contact is an individual who had contact with a confirmed case in the two days before the confirmed case had onset of disease or tested positive (asymptomatic case).

B. Close contacts include friends or relatives living in the same residence as confirmed cases, their classmates, or their colleagues in the same office or workplace (identified through a 3 by 3 grid).

C. Self-initiated responsive measures should be taken. Confirmed cases should voluntarily provide a list of people living with them as well as the epidemic prevention coordinators at their schools or companies.

D. The "self-reporting contact tracing system" for confirmed cases should be established.

II. The home isolation period will be shortened to a 3+4 plan (three days of isolation followed by four days of self-initiated epidemic prevention) beginning from April 26. This rule will retroactively apply to individuals who have been placed under isolation for more than three days, and they will be released from isolation starting April 27.
