CECC adjusts recommendations for responding to healthcare worker shortage to give guidance for healthcare facilities
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) pointed out that as healthcare workers are essential manpower for epidemic prevention efforts, it has adjusted the "Recommendations for Responding to Healthcare Worker Shortage during COVID-19" to address the shortage of manpower in healthcare facilities that results in its inability to maintain important operations when healthcare workers are placed under home isolation due to close contact with confirmed COVID-19 cases. If a health care facility still experiences a shortage of healthcare workers after activating its staffing contingency plan and is unable to refer patients or persons requiring care services to other facilities, it may ask its workers to return to work earlier with the permission of the local health authority.
