Testing upon arrival to be expanded to include travelers arriving on flights from India and Southeast Asia starting Jan. 20; travelers testing positive will be transported to hospital or government quarantine facility/enhanced quarantine hotel
On January 19, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that due to the escalating coronavirus situation in India and Southeast Asia and to prevent the virus from entering Taiwan, the testing measure required for travelers upon arrival will be expanded to travelers arriving on flights from India and Southeast Asia (the Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore) starting 00:00 on January 20, 2022.
