Taiwan adjusts health monitoring measures for people entering Taiwan via airport/port starting October 4; arrivals must take rapid home test between sixth day and seventh day of their self-health management period
In response to the highly-contagious Delta variant of COVID-19 spreading globally, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that starting 00:00 on October 4 (time of arrival in Taiwan), health monitoring measures for people entering Taiwan via an airport/port have been adjusted. The original measure that required arriving travelers to take a rapid test using a home test kit between the 10th and 12th day of their quarantine period has been changed to a new rule that requires arrivals to do such a rapid home test between the sixth day and seventh day of their self-health management period and to voluntarily report their test result via text message.
