Online ordering mechanism/ordering of masks at convenience stores under name-based mask distribution system to be suspended after 44th round; pharmacies continue to sell masks under distribution system
On September 18, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that in consideration of a substantial increase in the domestic production of masks and the current multiple channels to purchase masks, the online ordering mechanism/ordering of masks at convenience stores under the name-based mask distribution system will be suspended after the 44th round (September 27 to October 6). NHI-contracted pharmacies and the district public health centers in rural areas where there are no NHI-contracted pharmacies will continue to sell masks under the name-based distribution system.
