As the global COVID-19 cases caused by the Delta variant continue to increase and a rising number of breakthrough infections among fully vaccinated people have been reported in other countries, and the family cluster involving a Taiwanese airline pilot, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) launched an epidemiological investigation and will strengthen quarantine measures for flight crews after their return to Taiwan starting September 3, 2021, earlier than the original effective date of September 15.
