The second batch of 1.13 million doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine provided by Japan arrive at Taoyuan International Airport on the afternoon of July 8, 2021.

The CECC hereby expresses its sincere gratitude to the government and people of Japan for providing another batch of COVID-19 vaccine doses to Taiwan, which can help increase Taiwan's vaccination coverage rate and help the country fight against the virus, during the tough times the country is facing in the pandemic and amid the global vaccine supply shortages.
