On June 22, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the Ministry of Health and Welfare held a meeting on June 20, and, considering that pregnant women are at higher risk of developing severe complications or death if infected with COVID-19, ACIP experts recommended that pregnant women be included in the sixth priority group for COVID-19 vaccination so as to protect the health of pregnant women and their fetus.
