Government allocates NT$4 billion special budget to fund large-scale COVID-19 vaccination plan, allowing public to get free vaccinations at contracted healthcare facilities starting June 7
To promote the large-scale COVID-19 vaccination program, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that it has allocated an approximately NT$4 billion budget for healthcare facilities which can then offer the public free vaccinations starting on June 7, 2021. The CECC will announce the priority list of COVID-19 vaccination in line with the advice of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). There are currently no plans for a self-paid vaccination program, and therefore, no concerns about out-of-pocket expenses may arise.
