AICP expert meeting confirms first case of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS) following AstraZeneca vaccine shot in Taiwan. ACIP in expert meeting adopts resolution to continue AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccination program and advises CECC to thoroughly monitor adverse reactions following vaccinations
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) pointed out that regarding the first confirmed case of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS) following the AstraZeneca vaccine shot in Taiwan, the rate of TTS cases following the AstraZeneca vaccine shot is quite low in Taiwan based on the resolutions and assessments of its expert meeting. Thus, the experts advises the CECC to continue AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccination program and monitor thoroughly adverse events following vaccinations.
