CECC to provide subsidies to eligible city and county governments to encourage local governments to set up COVID-19 testing sites, to enhance access to COVID-19 testing for citizens of Taiwan
In response to the recent rise in the number of indigenous COVID-19 cases and unknown sources of infection, CECC announced directions on subsidies for the establishment of COVID-19 testing sites by local governments on May 30, 2021. CECC encourages each local government to set up COVID-19 testing sites based on regional infection cases and hot spots/areas visited by confirmed/reported COVID-19 cases, and to focus testing on people who are asymptomatic but had contact with or have been in the same place with the COVID confirmed cases. The measure can enhance access to COVID-19 testing for Taiwan citizens.
