The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that the first batch of the Moderna vaccine containing 150,000 doses arrived in Taiwan on May 28, 2021. The shipment of 150,000 doses is one of the vaccine batches Moderna will deliver under its supply agreement with Taiwan. The Moderna vaccine doses will be offered to individuals to be vaccinated under the national COVID-19 vaccination program after completion of the subsequent testing and lot release procedures.
