Starting from March 1, 2021, CECC to implement one person per residence requirement for home (self) isolation measure
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that starting on March 1, 2021, the “one person per residence” requirement of home (self) isolation will be imposed for individuals who had contact with confirmed COVID-19 cases to bolster prevention measures at the community level and ensure people’s health. The CECC further explained that the one person per residence requirement would mean that during the home (self) isolation period, individuals placed in-home (self) isolation cannot live with other persons not required to home (self) isolate in the same residence. In addition, an exception to the one person per room rule can be made if the individuals placed under home isolation (self-isolation) are minors, people aged 65 and older, people with mental or physical disabilities, or people suffering from catastrophic illness, who need a caregiver; these groups of people would be allowed to isolate in a residence with a caregiver not placed under home isolation.
