The entry and quarantine procedures concerned with international students at universities in Taiwan have run smoothly. In consideration of the first phase's success, the Ministry of Education (MOE) stated that starting August 19, educational institutions at the senior high school level and below can apply to the MOE according to the existing regulations to allow the entry of international students, including current students and freshmen, to study in the upcoming semester. International students mentioned in the latest policy also include students from China, Hong Kong, and Macao. All international students who enter Taiwan to study are required to undergo a 14-day quarantine after entry. They can choose to undergo quarantine at quarantine hotels, group quarantine sites, or student dormitories authorized by local public health authorities.
