Inspection and examination of imported medical masks officially launched on July 7
The COVID-19 pandemic situation is raging across the planet, so that domestic demand for medical masks is increasing. Since the quality and effectiveness of medical masks have a significant impact on Taiwan’s public health and epidemic prevention policies, Article 24, Annex II of Article 11, and Annex III of Article 22 in the Regulations for the Inspection and Examination of Imported Medicaments have been amended to conduct inspection and examination of medical masks at the border starting from July 7, 2020, to ensure the quality and effectiveness of medical masks used by Taiwan citizens.
