TFDA approves import of anti-viral drug remdesivir to ensure treatment of patients with severe COVID-19.
The CECC reported that remdesivir is approved as there is preliminary evidence indicating its positive effect and safety in treating COVID-19 patients and it has gradually been approved for use in the international community. The approval of the importation of remdesivir can ensure patients’ rights to receive the medical treatment and proactively respond to the possible developments of the COVID-19 outbreak.
