Tax-free shops in 5 airports to sell masks to inbound travelers. Only one unit allowed to be purchased. (3 adult masks per unit or 5 kids masks per unit).
From 21 March, five Taiwanese airport duty-free shops would sell masks to inbound passengers. Passengers could present their boarding passes, passports or travel documents to the duty-free shops to purchase masks.
(1) Mask price: NT$ 50 or $ 2 per pack
(2) Purchase limit: one pack per person (3 adult masks or 5 kids’ masks per pack).
(3) For Taiwanese nationals and permanent residency holders, the mask purchase would be recorded in the Name-based Mask Distribution System, and cross-checked with the systems of National Health Insurance Administration and National Immigration Agency to avoid duplicate purchases.
2. Airport duty-free shops would sell the requisitioned materials on behalf of the government; all proceeds would go into the Treasury.
