Retrospectively monitor for all travelers entering Taiwan from USA and Southeast Asia from March 8th to March 18th who have been to medical facilities. These individuals were informed to undergo home quarantine and test for potential virus infections.
1. Retrospectively from 08 March to 18 March, about 3,000 people sought medical attention since returning from the United States and other East Asian countries. They were told to immediately begin home quarantine, and be tested for COVID-19.
2. Actively monitoring the national health insurance system, those who sought medical treatment after returning from the above countries and had upper respiratory symptoms would be notified through SMS to immediately start home quarantine. At the same time, local health authorities or the 1922 epidemic prevention hotline would also be notified to arrange for necessary testing.
