The Travel Notices for 42 countries and 1 area from Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and Northern Africa were increased to Level 3 (Warning).

1. The recent epidemic situation in Europe and the Middle East deteriorated. To contain the spread of COVID-19, starting on midnight, 17 March, Taiwan issued Level 3 travel alerts (Warning) for 13 countries in Eastern Europe, 15 countries and 1 region in the Middle East, 5 countries in North Africa and 9 countries in Central Asia (except Iran, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, which were already declared Level 3 travel alerts). Taiwanese should avoid all non-essential travel to these areas.
2. Travelers must undergo a 14-day home quarantine if they visited the following countries/regions: Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Croatia, Albania, Northern Macedonia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Yemen, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Israel, Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Palestine, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia.
