1. Recently, Egypt’s COVID-19 cases increased steadily, and the country could not perform enough testing. Its number of cases would most likely be underestimated. Taiwan, the United States, Japan, France and Hong Kong reported many cases with Egypt travel history.
2. Besides, neighboring countries such as Qatar and Kuwait announced entry restrictions for Egyptians. As such, Taiwan issued Level 2 travel alerts (Alert) for Egypt, and urged travelers to take extra precautions in that country.
