Taiwan’s "Airport to Home Quarantine Transportation Plan" had the advantages of short waiting time, low transmission risk, easy tracking, and maintaining privacy. The highlights are as follows:
1. Priority was given to passengers who would be picked up by relatives and friends. Others would be provided with point-to-point transportation services for home quarantine by airport taxis and rental cars.
2. The taxi (rental car) industry, the government and the home quarantine passengers would jointly bear the expenses of this endeavor.
3. Subsidizing taxi drivers for taxi fares and for purchasing necessary disease prevention supplies.
