1. In view of the continuing occurrence of nosocomial infections and incident clusters at hospitals in Japan and South Korea, the Ministry of Health and Welfare invited hospital associations, professional societies, infection control experts, and hospital directors to reach a consensus on disease prevention/containment. To avoid unintended consequences, hospitals would strictly control traffic including:
(1) Limiting the number of companion per bed to 1
(2) Visitors were only allowed during a specific period and limited to 2 per bed
(3) Companions and visitors must register, and be asked about TOCC
2. Publishing "Medical Institutions’ Guidelines for Managing Personnel Outsourcing During Serious Infectious Pneumonia" to enhance the health and safety of outsourced workers. Joint Commission of Taiwan would provide guidance and review relevant details.
