Iran Travel Notice raised to Level 2 (Alert).
Taiwan issued Level 2 travel notice: Alert for Iran, and urged travelers to practice enhanced precautions for the following reasons:
1. Recently, Iran’s COVID-19 cases and deaths increased rapidly. Currently, confirmed cases reached 95 with 15 deaths (second to China), and the disease spread to 13 provinces.
2. Cases in Oman, Iraq, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada have also been linked to Iran.
3. As Iran’s situation worsened, multiple countries across the Middle East have closed their borders with Iran.
