"Taiwan has a close relationships with Japan and South Korea. Many Taiwanese tourists travel to the two countries. Therefore, Taiwan issued Level 2 travel notice :Alert for the two countries. Taiwanese travelers must take enhanced precautions in those two countries. The reasons were as follow:
1. The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Japan reached 110 across in 14 prefectures. Over 70% of the cases likely stemmed from community transmission. Many infections had unknown sources, and several incident clusters occurred in communities and hospitals. Japan's policy thus shifted from prevention to harm reduction.
2. South Korea’s confirmed cases increased rapidly reaching 346 cases. Over 70% of the cases likely stemmed from community transmission. Five cases had unknown infection sources, and mass gatherings happened at churches and hospitals recently. As such, the country designated Daegu City and North Gyeongsang Province as special areas for disease containment."
