Volunteers with backgrounds in nursing and hospice care recruited to conduct telephone welfare calls to individuals undergoing home quarantine and self-health monitoring.
1. In an attempt to render timely psychological consultation and assistance during people's home isolation (quarantine), the Nursing and Health Care Department of the Ministry of Health and Welfare specifically recruited nursing professional volunteers, and started the Epidemic Care Call Center according to the task assigned by the Command Center. 2. The aforementioned nursing professional volunteers focus on important quarantine guidelines, and the contents of care include:
(1) Facts and problems on home isolation (quarantine)
(2) The very physical and mental health conditions at the moment.
(3) Rendering core health education for epidemic prevention, medical treatment principles and providing available resources, such as the 1925 psychological support relief hotline and the like.
2. The Nursing and Health Care Department of the Ministry of Health and Welfare passed the message of recruiting nursing professional volunteers through the Line group on February 4, 2020 and received support from more than 500 nursing staff, demonstrating their spirit and firm resolve to battle against the pandemic.
