Postponing the new semester by 2 weeks for all schools up to senior high level.

font:

For the safety of the students, as well as lowering the risk of disease spread to the minimum, the CECC had decided to delay the start of the schools semester by a further 2 weeks to prevent cluster infections in schools. Reasons were as below:
1. Currently the route of viral infection and virus characteristics had remained unclear.
2. In particular, despite in Taiwan, there yet had been risks for community spread; however, the situation over the COVID-19 infection remained uncertain. Clustering was regarded as a cause for rapid respiratory tract infections at schools. It would be much harder to control the infection if a foreign imported case had occurred.
