1. To respond to the increasing number of quarantined/isolated individuals, to meet the public’s need for quarantine hotels, and reduce the community infection risk, Taiwan’s Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications proposed the "Quarantine hotels" and formulated a subsidy program for quarantine hotels. After consulting experts and various agencies, Taiwan formulated "COVID-19 Guidance: Setups and Management for Quarantine Hotels."
2. To encourage Taiwan’s hospitality industry to participate in the "Quarantine hotel scheme" the Tourism Bureau would reimburse all quarantine hotels between 01 April 2020 to 30 June 2020:
(1) NT$ 1,000 per room per day
(2) After being approved by their local county or city governments, certified quarantine hotels must abide by the rules/regulations of the Tourism Bureau and other relevant government agencies.
