1. To protect the public's health, Taiwan closed all host/hostess clubs and ballrooms, and the CECC urged proprietors of these venues to cooperate with related epidemic prevention measures. 
2. To contain the spread of COVID-19, the CECC called on city and county governments across the country, as well as economic development departments (the competent authorities), health departments, fire departments, and police departments to coordinate and ensure these businesses comply with the closure order. In addition, the CECC reminded the public to avoid  crowded, confined spaces and business premises prone to cluster infections.
